"More tales of terror are unearthed from another pile of dusty old videos in this slick sequel to the 2012 horror anthology. Like the original, the top-and-tail story takes place in an "abandoned" house where, on this occasion, it's two private investigators on a missing-persons case who come across the cassettes. But whereas the first film's quintet of stories were of varying quality, the calibre of the four shorts here is consistently higher... the pick of the bunch is Safe Haven, co-directed by Timo Tjahjanto and The Raid's Gareth Huw Evans, in which a film crew's visit to the compound of an Indonesian cult turns decidedly nasty.
